Meet Anke
Registered Psychologist
‘We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.’ — Anaïs Nin
I am passionate about listening to people and helping them make sense of their personal stories.
I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to find meaning, clarity, and direction by building insight, psychological flexibility, and practical skills.
I am a non-judgemental, deep listener, known for my honest, caring, and approachable nature.
Areas of Interest
I have a strong interest in supporting young adults, women, neurodivergent individuals (AuDHD) and clients who are culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD).
Life transitions and adjustment
Navigating change can be deeply overwhelming. This may include motherhood, career change, immigration, relationship change or loss. I offer support through these various life transitions, helping clients process emotions, build resilience, and find a renewed sense of direction and purpose.
Anxiety, stress, and low mood
If you’re experiencing persistent distress I aim to help you explore factors contributing to these challenges, developing strategies that balance self-compassion and accountability, to improve your emotional wellbeing.
Attachment and relationship patterns
For those experiencing interpersonal or relational difficulties, I focus on helping you build secure attachments, establish healthy boundaries, enhance emotional and social intelligence, explore communication styles, develop conflict resolution skills, and foster meaningful connections.
Values, identity exploration, and self-understanding
I support clients pursuing therapy for self-discovery and personal growth, offering insights into patterns of thought and behaviour. This can empower you to build your self-esteem and make positive changes in your life. I also aim to support clients exploring their personal identity and values particularly through times of change such as motherhood, career change, late diagnosed AuDHD, relationship breakups, loss or in relation to cross-cultural, familial, or religious and spiritual factors.
